During a meeting between Pakistan’s Federal Minister for IT and Telecommunication, Syed Aminul Haque, and Zong’s CEO, Wang Hua, several matters were discussed, including the provision of quality telecom services, connectivity, 5G technology, and spectrum.

The Additional Secretary (Incharge) of the Ministry of IT and Telecommunication, Mohsin Mushtaq, was also present in the meeting.

Improving the quality of services was the main topic of discussion, and the minister emphasized the need for upgrading the infrastructure to provide quality services to the masses. He also stressed that providing broadband services across the country was the Ministry of IT’s topmost priority.

The minister expressed his commitment to launching 5G technology next year to cope with the challenges of the digital world.

Zong’s CEO, Wang Hua, affirmed that Zong is prepared to fully cooperate with the Ministry of IT and Telecommunication for the launch of 5G technology in the country.

He also mentioned that Zong is planning to introduce a microfinance-type application for e-commerce soon. Senior officers of the Ministry of IT were present during the meeting, and all parties expressed their willingness to work together towards achieving the common goal of improving telecom services in Pakistan.
